Dear Zoey Dean,

I love your books. Right now, I am reading “Tall Cool One” in the A-list series. I enjoyed the way you made Samantha like a real girl and not the typical size 2 Californian stereotype. I also enjoyed that Cammie had a softer side and wasn’t always so mean to everyone in her life. I didn’t understand why Dee liked Poppy better than Sam, even though Sam was the same age as Dee and they had been friends for many years. I was also confused on how Sam knew that Anna was at the Las Casitas resort, even though Anna did not tell her. If I could change something, it would be Anna and Sam being lost and kidnapped.

I chose this poem for my proud piece because I really enjoyed writing it and it was something that came very naturally to me as I wrote it.

The Mummy

I am the Mummy

I needed my tomb,

My home

I could not let go

It was so far,

but so close

The attraction was unbearable

The intensity building

I needed to leave

but,

I reach

and no one is there

to

save me.

I stay

Alone.

My life is over

I was revered,

Loved by many,

But, I feel no

HAPPINESS.

I am dead, but wanted ,

needed, yearned for,

My jewels they want
